Rain Barrel Giveaway
Event Details
Date:
July 11, 2025
Time:
10:00am — 12:00pm
Venue:
Alpha Ridge Landfill
2350 Marriottsville Rd
Marriottsville, MD 21104
As-is and while supplies last, Howard County’s Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) has approximately 30 rain barrels to give away to HoCo residents. These barrels were either returned unused, drilled incorrectly, never drilled at all, or came from other programs and giveaways. They’re available as-is—BES can’t guarantee the condition of any predrilled holes—but they’re still great for capturing rainwater and supporting sustainable yard practices.
Barrels will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis to County residents who will use them within Howard County. Email rwijetunge@howardcountymd.gov with questions.
County staff and volunteers will be onsite to answer questions.
