Food Waste Prevention: Garden Salsa Demo at Freetown Farm

Event Details

Venue:

Freetown Farm
8000 Harriet Tubman Lane
Columbia, MD 21044

Using garden vegetable scraps to make salsa is a fantastic way to minimize food waste and create a delicious homemade condiment! It allows you to utilize parts of vegetables that might otherwise be discarded and can help reduce the amount of organic matter in landfills and the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere.

You’ll have the opportunity to sample the salsa and go home with the recipe to replicate it at home.

Space is limited. If you register and are unable to attend, please cancel your registration to open the space.

This is part of The Community Ecology Institute’s free Plant-Centered Diet Series supported by Howard County’s PREP (Plastics Reduction and Environmental Protection) Grant.
