The Robinson Foundation’s primary mission is to support Howard County Department of Recreation and Park’s new Robinson Nature Center. The mission of the Robinson Nature Center is to bring people together with nature, to learn, to experience nature and the environment around them, and to promote an ethic of stewardship of the land.
The Foundation also sponsors a wide range of environmental events and supports initiatives of other environmental, educational, and community groups that share our commitment to connecting people with the outdoors.
ACTIVITIES
In addition to building a Friends group for the Robinson Nature Center, the Foundation also:
- Supports community and non-profit initiatives that are in keeping with the Foundation’s mission.
- Recognizes community and educational leadership through the Green Foot Print Awards Program. This award is given to an individual or organization that has demonstrated a commitment to preserving the natural environment.
