2010 20 Minute Cleanup Results

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 20 Minute Cleanup on May 13th! People from all over Howard County got outside picked up litter and made Howard County cleaner and greener. Even the County Executive got out there. By working together we made a real difference! From email reports sent in, 1,055 people participated! That is really wonderful and shows the great volunteer spirit in Howard County. Not everyone counted their trash and recycling, but those who did collected 64 bags of trash and 18 bags of recycling.

Check out photos of the 20 Minute Cleanup

An extra THANK YOU goes out to the following groups and individuals who let us know about their anti-trash heroics.

  1. Hello!

I’m writing to share with you some information about an upcoming solar educational series we’re offering to residents in the ten Columbia Villages. So far, eight villages have committed to working with us to bring this presentation to their residnts. groSolar is a mission driven, no hard sell company. We’re about education and empowerment. That being said, these presentations are strictly educational and not designed to sell. Please take a look at the page to get an idea of what the program is about and contact me with any questions. We’d love to have you include this information on your community calendar.
